Okechukwu Umemuo-Head, Advocacy, Dispute Resolution & Tax
Okechukwu is the Head of the Advocacy, Dispute Resolution & Tax Practice Team of the Firm. He is a consummate trial lawyer and arbitrator with extensive trial experience at the Federal High Court, State High Courts and National Industrial Court of various Divisions and jurisdictions across Nigeria, including the FCT, Edo, Ogun, Oyo, Imo, Kogi and Anambra States. He has experience at other Tribunals including the ECOWAS Court of Justice, Tax Appeal Tribunal, Industrial Arbitration Panel, Investment and Securities Tribunal etc. He has also distinguished himself at the Appellate Courts where he has argued several Reported Cases. Mr. Umemuo was awarded an LLM by the Obafemi Awolowo University in 2011 and previously served as Head of Litigation at Kola Awodein & Co. Mr. Umemuo obtained his law degree in 2006.

2011-2017 Co-founded Law Guild and led the Litigation arm of the firm until December 2017.
2011-2017 Consultant to C.I. Igbinedion & Associates and Auxano Law Firm.
2010 Joined Kola Awodein & Co. and served as the Head of the Litigation Dept.
2007 to 2010 Counsel and later Head of Chambers, Victor C. Gwam & Co.
