Oseinoma Okpeku Partner

Ose heads the employment law, HR and immigration practice team. He is a graduate of University of Nigeria Nsukka and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2001. He has a master’s degree in employment law and international labour standards, and a master’s degree in human resource management, from the University of South Wales. Prior to joining The Law Crest LLP, he worked for one of the top four retailers in the United Kingdom as a senior human resource executive and head of recruitment projects.

Ose is also a member of the Business Advisory Team of the Firm where he regularly advises on cross-border transactions, regulatory compliance, competition/anti trust and is involved in legislation monitoring.

Ose is a PRINCE2 practitioner; a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (UK); and the Chairman of the employment and industrial relations committee of the Section on Business Law of the Nigerian Bar Association.

Mr Okpeku regularly consults for multinationals, private organisations and the government. He has led the HR integration process of significant mergers and acquisitions in the energy, finance and FMCG sectors. He is regularly engaged by multinationals to assist in reviewing their entire HR policies and procedures as well as developing functional employee engagement frameworks. He has presented papers on employment law issues both within and outside Nigeria. He recently consulted for several state governments on the recruitment and management of Nigerian medical personnel in diaspora and regularly provides immigration advisory services for organisations, as well as for individuals seeking to take up employment or residence in Nigeria.
