TLC Boosts Advocacy and Dispute Resolution Practice with Okechukwu Umemuo as Partner

The Law Crest LLP is pleased to announce Okechukwu Umemuo’s admission as a Partner of the Firm effective from July 1, 2020.

Okey who joined the firm in December of 2017, has a strong track record as both a trial and appellate lawyer. He has extensive experience representing leading Nigerian and multinational businesses across various courts in Nigeria and arbitral tribunals in connection with a wide variety of disputes and has recorded sterling achievements as the Head of the Advocacy, Dispute Resolution & Tax Practice of the Firm in the past two and a half years

Okey has distinguished himself as an astute and proficient litigator and arbitrator with an uncommon focus and practical approach to achieving results and has been described variously, as meticulous, dexterous, extremely knowledgeable of the law and having an uncanny ability to simplify thorny legal issues.   

He holds a Master of Laws from the Obafemi Awolowo University and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Uyo. He is also a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, UK (Nigeria Branch)- FCIArb UK.
